The Mat-Su Kids Chorus is a great opportunity for kids to sing music in a fun way!
We learn to sing rounds, rhythm and in parts using songs with positive messages. Teens will have a chance to make a music video, too!
This ensemble is for readers aged 6-13. Teens 14 and older may join the adult chorus. Concerts will be performed in December in conjunction with the adult chorus.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings, 7-8pm, at Matsu Evangelical Covenant Church, 5201 E Mayflower Lane, Wasilla. Childcare until 9pm is included for children whose parents are in the adult chorus. Participation is only $80 for the semester and may be eligible for homeschool reimbursement!
Rehearsals for Winter 2024 begin September 19th. Children who demonstrate an ability to listen and sing on pitch will be asked to join after three rehearsals. Questions can be directed to Director Carol Dorman at fairyfilmmaker@gmail.com.
